Kellie Martin is an American film and television actress best known for her roles in the roles of Christy Huddleston on the historical drama series "Christy The 'Christy'' series, Rebecca Thatcher in the Life Goes On, a family-oriented drama The Life Goes On', and Lucy Knight in the medical drama series "ER". In addition, she is famous for her role as the lead for her role in the Hailey Dean Mystery. Martin was the daughter of an employee of a department store and an elementary school teacher. Her first acting experience was in the age of seven when her aunt, an nanny for Michael Landon's family, helped Martin get a part as an actor on the television show Father Murphy. Martin began her professional acting career after graduating Yale University. This led to her landing substantial part-time roles in the TV and film industry. Martin as well as being an excellent actress and dancer, is also a skilled ballet photographer. Martin is the mother of two and the face of Lupus. Since her 19-year-old sister's death Martin has been working to raise awareness about the disease.
